The Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Cluster General Manager to join our team at Wyndham Hotel in Dubai, UAE.

JOB SUMMARY The Cluster General Manager (Cluster GM) will strategically lead the property (in conjunction with the HOD’s on property).

KEYS RESPONSIBILITIES 1.LEADERSHIP The Cluster GM will work with the HOD’s to ensure the successful delivery of the individual departmental plans as they fit within the overall business strategy. The Cluster GM will inspire, coach, guide and motivate their team and act as the leader for the property with respect to relationship management and development. Leading by example, to ensure the team always look to ‘Do the Right Thing’.

2.STRATEGY AND PLANNING Cluster GM will define and execute a detailed strategic budget plan for the property. This will also include setting performance targets, complying with all policies, processes and procedures as well as defining the infrastructure of the hotel. The Cluster GM will focus to develop the awareness of the hotel within the city, region and country, to help the ‘Grow our Iconic Brands’, supported by PR, Social Media plans, relationship with Media, attendance to key exhibitions. Furthermore, he/she will build daily an excellent relationship with owners, protecting the assets and be the Ambassador of the WH&R Management team.

3.BUSINESS PERFORMANCE The Cluster GM will be accountable for the overall success and performance of the hotel; Including the delivery of sales, the continuous improvement of the RevPAR whilst delivering exceptional guest service and quality. Including the measurement of the overall performance based on KPI’s and precise goals from the Hotel Management Incentive Plan and all WH&R functional audits Including the profitability by keeping a firm control over the bottom line, anticipating and or resolving potential problems, obstacles which may hinder revenue optimization, cost control or quality.

4.QUALITY ASSURANCE, BRAND STANDARDS AND GUEST SATISFACTION As the guardian and protector of the Wyndham brand, the CLUSTER GM will launch and follow up all the Wyndham brand standards. He/she will be the guarantor to implement all Wyndham tools. With the HOD’s, he/she will roll out the associate training and Operating Standards, SOP’s in order to provide service excellence and high performance, fitting with the high standards expected ‘Leverage the strength of the World’s Largest Hotel Company’, to deliver results with the Wyndham Rewards loyalty program.

5.COUNT ON ME!’ SERVICE CULTURE The Cluster GM will ensure that all associates through their HOD’s are identified, recruited according to the ‘Count On Me!’ philosophy and are fully lead and coached in this culture. The Cluster GM will daily focus on the development of this ‘Count On Me!’ service culture as a fundamental part of the operational strategy.

EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION & EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree level educated, ideally within a hospitality management related or business administration discipline from an internationally recognized hospitality school or similar and/or profound industry experience as Cluster General Manager as per below.
  • Broad international experience as a Cluster General Manager in branded international 4 and/or 5 star hotels - 5 years minimum
  • Previous international working experience ideally in two regions likeGCC regionis highly desirable.
  • Experience within the hospitality commercial function, such as sales, revenue management, marketing, managing a P&L statement
  • Significant experience of managing people including large, complex and multi-national teams as well as strong understanding of F&B.
  • Understanding of uniform systems of accounts used for hotels.
  • A strong sense of commerciality and financial acumen
  • Computer literacy and a high level of competency within Microsoft Office programmes and hotel reservations systems (Micros Opera)
